The fitness specialist
We all know that riding a bike is one of the best ways to get in shape! The BC 9.16 ATS’s speed based calorie counter will keep track of your progress towards reaching your fitness goals.

Need a Break?
Don’t you hate it when you forget to start your computer after stopping for a snack or a cup of coffee? Yet, at the same time, we you also want batteries to last a long time.
With the new ATS transmission system, when you stop and take a break during a ride for up to two hours, the computer will auto wake without pressing a button.
When you see the antenna icon on the display, that means that the auto wake function is active. If the antenna is not shown, it means that the BC9.16 ATS turned itself off to conserve battery life. Simply press any button to start riding again.

How many calories did you burn?
The BC9.16 ATS estimates the calories burned on each ride based on speed and ride time.

Setting the wheel size
Setting the wheel size is extremely easy using the tire size. From 16 inches to 700C to 29 inches, the wheel size can be set easily using predefined tire sizes. Of course, it is also possible to manually enter the wheel size in millimetres.

Maximum speed display
On a single screen, the BC9.16 ATS shows the maximum speed, current speed, and current speed compared to average speed.

Speed comparison
The BC9.16 ATS continuously compares current and average speed. When there is a difference, the result is indicated by an upward or downward arrow.

Ride time up to 100 h
With a ride time of up to 100 hours, you can record and save the trips of your complete cycling holiday.

Bike inspection reminder function
Thanks to the service interval, you are reminded to submit your bike to an inspection after a freely selectable number of kilometers cycled. The service interval can only be enabled/disabled and pre-configured by the retailer. The retailer can set the desired number of kilometres using the UNIVERSAL FAST SETTING BOX.
The device comes with the service interval disabled.

Maximum display, minimum size
The new sleek, vertically orientated TOPLINE 2016 computers will look great on your stem or handlebar. We’ve maximized the display size and slimmed down the computer housing to show the largest, easiest to read numbers and letters possible.

Housing
Height x width x depth: 50 mm x 35,5 mm x 10,2 mm

Display
Height x width: 27 mm x 35 mm

Analog Transmission System
ATS is SIGMA SPORT’s own, newly developed, analog encoded single‐channel wireless transmission system. The BC 9.16 is one of many wireless bike computer options in the TOPLINE2016 product range.

The wireless transmitter on the fork securely transmits the signal from the magnets to the receiver (computer head) after each wheel rotation. Unlike most computers in its class, the BC9.16 ATS will reject any other wireless signal, preventing “cross talk” when riding close to another cyclist.

Tool-free mounting
The handlebar/stem bracket and the new ATS‐transmitter can be easily mounted with O‐rings or cable ties.

Data evaluation
All SIGMA TOPLINE 2016 computers are downloadable. An optional USB docking station lets you transfer information from your bicycle computer to your Mac/PC to keep track of your rides.

Watertight in accordance with IPX8
The BC 9.16 ATS is waterproof according to the international standard IPX 8. This means there is "protection against permanent immersion". Nothing stands in the way during the next ride in the rain.

Click-magnets
Both new magnets (normal & power) are equipped with a click-mounting mechanism. This makes installation even easier. Devices can also be removed without tools.

In the box:

  • Power magnet
  • ATS / STS handlebar bracket
  • ATS transmitter
  • 2 O-RINGS (Ø 35mm, 45mm)

Realistic book of el Camino de Santiago
Format: Paperback
This is the most realistic and informative book I've read about el Camino de Santiago, (and I've read no less than 10 in my preparation to walk el Camino). It is beautifully written, inspirational, humble and encouraging. The reality of the albergues or refugios hit me, so I decided to book in private albergues or pensiones in advance. Thank you Joyce for opening our eyes about the hard parts of the Camino, but also of all the beauty and the transformative experience. I hope to savor some of what you and Tome did (minus the albergues), and to learn to appreciate every little thing that we take it for granted. Beautiful book! A must read for all who wants to walk The Way.

Real and Uninhibited
Format: Paperback
I’m planning to walk the Camino this fall and bought several books describing personal journeys. This book filled my soul with the author’s well-described authentic expression of her inner journey—the joys, the fears, the icks and the ahhhs. So honest, so inspiring, uninhibited and very real. Not a day-by-day account of a diary but rather the lessons lived and learned along The Way. Beautiful. I would love to give her a long and heart-felt hug for what I gained from her story. 💖

Practical Pilgrim Traveling
Format: Paperback
My wife and I earned a compostela walking a portion of the Camino Frances in May of 2004. Since then I've read many books on pilgrimage, including several accounts of other pilgrims' journeys on the same road we traveled. Many are what another reviewer describes: diaries of the interior lives of the author, focusing mainly on their hardships and triumphs, as if to point out how they changed the camino, rather than how they were changed by it. If I felt that this were all to this book, I wouldn't recommend it. Instead, I think this book provides a wonderful balance between soulful reflection and the pragmatism of the all-too-physical journey. Walking the camino does appear to have all the ingredients necessary for earning a 'spiritual experience merit badge', and some seem to walk it just to earn pilgrimage street cred. Even were that Rupp's intention, and I doubt very much that is the case, she's provided a great perspective for potential pilgrims and useful material to aid past walkers. It's true that she does not shy away from describing unpleasantries of the road: dirty accommodations, illness, rude pilgrims, bad food, and bad weather. These are very real likelihoods, and she discusses them very frankly; pilgrims do not float along the road, barely touching the earth, and any idyllic expectations soon come face-to-face with harsh reality. Rupp does not bring up these issues merely to complain, however; the benefit of this book is how she treats these subjects as well as her prayerful introspection as equally engaging points of reflection and provides a useful perspective on integrating even these issues into a larger pilgrimage experience. The subtitle of the book, however, is "Life Lessons from the Camino", and that's the true value of these observations: her effort in showing that much of our day-to-day life is filled with just these sort of experiences and just this sort of potential for reflection, appreciation, and understanding.
